An occlusally aware dentist is one who has a good understanding of how your occlusion (your bite and general geometry of your teeth) works and who applies that understanding to your treatment.

These dentists have usually taken extensive training in the subject of occlusion and are skilled at recognizing the signs and symptoms of occlusal disease.
